Seven Women, Seven Places, Seven Stories,
Each story is built around interesting characters, plots, and subplots. All these educated and highly accomplished women raise a subtle question about women's inhibitions and their silent screams. Not all of them can seek redressal for their problems, legally or socially. Many like to bear the cross in martyrdom in silence, but others do not.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Originally from the growing town of Siliguri in north Bengal, Pinakie's life has always been rich with diverse characters, situations, and human reactions. His journey has taken him from the foothills to the Himalayan heights, evolving from a young educator in Sikkim to shaping marketing dreams in Delhi-NCR, constantly adding to his reservoir of experiences.
Though the transition from corporate to creative may sound clichéd, Pinakie doesn't see himself as a habitual writer. Instead, he embraces being an author of experiences and emotions. His debut novel, "Mountains to Manhattan," delves into the Tibetan refugee crisis, where he enjoys the challenge and satisfaction of writing from his women characters' perspectives. His second book, "A Basket of Sunflowers," continues this journey, exploring the lives and stories of seven women.
Pinakie is passionate about writing about people, culture, ethos, and philosophy. He is excited by issues of identity, family relations, and history. His stories are not direct reflections of his experiences but rather interpretations of the lives and struggles of the characters around him. In his free time, Pinakie loves cycling and trekking, which further inspires his writing.
